Why Do I Need A Mediator?
Often times, especially in divorces and custody matters, emotions run high. It is a very stressful time for all persons involved, including the children. When emotions are in the forefront, logic tends to get lost. Sometimes it is helpful to have an uninterested third party assist in holding a space where the two of you can remain focused on the issues at hand, without getting lost in your emotions. This isn’t to say it won’t happen, let’s face it, emotions are part of who we are as humans. But a mediator can at least offer assistance to uncover what both parties truly want out of the agreement, and find the best way to address each party’s concerns in a way that is the least emotionally intrusive.
